Located just north of the Suzhou River, the 25,720 m2 site was conceived as an urban office park with a new media tower and small executive offices. The formal qualities of the project became subservient to the capability of the forms to make coherent spaces. Density, and the maximization of it, was utilized a mechanism to reexamine and reimagine the office park typology, justified and capitulated by economic demands and maximum floor area code allowances. In redesigning the typology of a small office campus, we pursued space in order to shape form.
